  Took the top picture a couple of days back and then remembered a very different day when I had taken a photograph from the same spot, different direction- 30th November 2017. Although the light is different they have a similar quality... the busy sky, the silhouetted trees and dark waters.

 This fairly young oak was home to a bachelor fey who has since hitched up to a pixie. Together they have moved to a roomier beech deeper in the woods. Needs some renovation. Close to the wood's main stream and within easy flying distance of the glade gathering place. Perfect for a single being fond of woodlice.
